History

Well over a century ago, a group of Toronto’s best golfers visualized a new golf course set on rolling terrain amidst the Humber River and Black Creek. In those days, Lambton was considered a countryside retreat, with members travelling by train to play in the idyllic woodland setting. In the decades since, Lambton has been witness to remarkable milestones, including the honour of being home club for the first ever Olympic Gold Medal in Men’s individual golf, our co-founder George S. Lyon.
